No TrumpShark Bridge plays strong NT (15-17) opening. The NT-system is non-forcing Stayman and transfers.
This means that a hand like JT86, QT96, 5, 9654 could bid a Stayman 2 over partners 1NT. Should Notrumper bid a major, we have most likely improved the contract. In the case Notrumper bids 2 , we follow up with 2 asking for preference between the majors. At worst we declare a 4-3 fit, which may likely be our best spot, as we are able to ruff some diamonds, thereby gaining entries to lead up to partners hand. Additional bids 1NT - 2 To play in a minor. 2NT Good fit to clubs. 3 To play. 3 To play 3 Neutral. 3f To play. 2NT – Invitational. 3 Slam interest with 6+clubs. 3 Slam interest with 6+diamons. 3 Slam interest with 6+hearts. 3 Slam interest with 6+spades. 3NT To play. 4 5-5 majors. Invitational to slam. Notrumper accepts by bidding the major. 4 Reject slam invitation. 4 P/C between majors. 4 Accept slam invitation in hearts. 4 Accept slam invitation in spades. 4 5-5 majors. Either weak, or driving to slam regardless of notrumper’s accept. Notrumper makes preference between the majors with 4H/4S 4 To play. 4 To play. |
