  • How to play a tournament   ( 2 Articles )

Shark Bridge has a quick way of getting you started playing tournaments. This is regarded by most users as the most interesting way of playing bridge with a computer, as you can compare your results with other players.

Select the menu option Tournament, and then Play Random Tournament. And you are immediately set in the south seat playing an international tournament, in a room full of bridge experts.

Shark Bridge remembers which tournaments you have already played, so you won’t play them twice using this option. There are more than 1500 tournaments in the library, with average 16 boards, so you will have almost unlimited fun playing these tournaments. New tournaments are constantly added to the Shark Bridge library.

In case you want to play a specific tournament, you can use the Load Tournament menu option. Tournaments are stored either in PBM or LIN format. You select the PBN or the LIN directory, and then the year where the tournament was played. Then you get a list of tournaments in the library from that year.
