Shark Bidding Section

Shark Bridge has the largest bidding database in the world, with more than 80.000 different sequences defined. A sequence can for instance be:

 
  • Bidding - Standard American   ( 1 Article )

    Bidding - Standard American

    Shark Bridge prefers Standard American. 5-card majors, 15-17 NT. Two-over-one “almost” game-forcing. 1M-1NT = semi-forcing.

    Fourth suit is forcing to game on the 3-level, but only forcing 1 round, or to 2NT when on the 2-level.

    Danish Standard

    Shark Bridge can also play Danish Bridge Standard 1S=5cards, 1H= 4 cards, 1D=4 cards, 1C may be 3 with 4-3-3-3. In this case 1M-1NT is 6-9, and two-over-one is just 10+.

    2NT system

    The system is played:

    • After a weak two opening by the opponents (Range 15+ 18)
    • After 2♣-2♦-2NT, also if opponents bids something in between (Range 20-21)
    • After opening 2NT  (Range 22-24)
